I found the most beautiful resort in the Island Garden City of Samal.
MAXIMA BEACH RESORT: The house above the sea
What I love in that resort: 1. You can jump to the water from the house whenever because the first floor is an open area. 2. You can never hit nor touch the bottom of the sea. The water's around 10 feet. 3. It has an amazing view of sea and the sunset. 4. It's breezy, especially on the second floor. 5. The water's clear. It's not infested with lumot like Boracay. 6. The place is isolated so you won't be disturbed. 7. The bedrooms are all airconditioned. 8. The water coming out of their faucets/showers/toilets/sinks are all freshwater. Thank God. 9. The house used to be a rest house so it gives off that homey feeling. 10. The balcony on the second floor. It's my favorite spot!
I actually wrote a longer blog in my Multiply. As far as I know, Blogger can't cross-post so instead of copy-pasting everything, I'll just give you the link. Click here. It's a pretty lengthy blog so have patience. hehe.

If you ever go to Davao City and want to hit the beach, go to Samal!
Last week, I finished reading Jodi Picoult’s novel “Mercy”. One conflict in the novel is euthanasia. Euthanasia is mercy killing. In the novel, James Macdonald killed his wife because his wife had cancer. She was going to die anyway. This made me think a lot about euthanasia. The novel left me with a lot of questions but basically pointed out to who was more selfish? In the beginning of the book, I immediately thought of how selfish James was. He wasn’t in any position to take away the life of his wife, Maggie even though he is her husband. He is not the only person in Maggie’s life. Maggie had friends and parents who may have wanted her to live for a little bit longer. Did he consider their feelings and thoughts? No, he only thought of himself. At one point in the story, he even thought that the real reason why he killed her was because he didn’t want to see her that way and that he wanted to remember her as the healthy Maggie. Maybe it was just his own selfishness that driven him to kill her. But in the middle of the book, I changed my mind. Maggie was the selfish one. She made James promise to kill her. During that time, James would do everything for Maggie, including killing her just to please her. He was like her little robot. She made him think that everything would be okay. It wasn’t. James was left with a trial, dead wife and a lost hope. He just wanted to get the trial over with and rot in jail. Maggie never thought that he could go to jail for killing her but James knew this all along. He knew he would go to jail because after killing her, he went immediately to a police station and turned himself in. James loved her too much to care. It is said in the book that in a marriage, there is always someone who loves more, and who is giving more to make the relationship work and to keep things the way they used to be. That was James. He loved her more. In real life, there are probably a lot of cases of euthanasia. I bet a lot of them ended up with the "killer" in jail because in the law, it all points out to what you did. It doesn't matter why you did it. We should all take note though that in ordinary murders, killers do it out of hate but in euthanasia, "killers" do it out of love. That makes it different. I would definitely recommend this book. Jodi Picoult is an amazing author. Amazing is not even the right word to describe her because she has this way of making you think of what is right and what is wrong; and if those things (right or not) really matter;
Takipsilim, the supposed Filipino remake of Twilight, has been creating quite a stir in cyberspace. I've read so many hate blogs and rude comments lately about the remake lately. My thoughts?
THOUGHT #1: It really pissed me off how closed-minded Filipinos are. Yes, it is a re-make. Yes, Rayver Cruz and Shaina Magdayao are playing Edward and Bella. But I really think that we should give the show a chance. Not all remakes are awful. Have you seen Ugly Betty? It's a great show right? Well, guess what? It's just a remake of the Colombian telenovela Betty La Fea!Yes, the original name of the show really is indeed Betty La Fea so don't go around saying how disgusting the Filipino remake is because ours is closer to the orginal..sort of. Besides, I know Filipinos are gonna watch it nonetheless--out of curiosity.
THOUHT #2: The poster is Photoshop-ed for crying out loud! Isn't it obvious? Apparently not. After seeing Takipsilim's poster, I was already convinced that this was just probably a practical joke someone pulled. Maybe someone thought it was funny so they edited the original poster and posted it online. A few gullible readers might have copy-pasted the picture and spread it through their own blogs. After that was a massive group of angry Twilighters.
Don't worry Twilighters. ABS-CBN has denied rumors of reportedly paying $1 million to secure the rights for the television series. A big *whew* to Filipino Twilighters.
My question is though: Why did ABS-CBN post an article last week that they have in fact exclusive rights to make a television series based on Twilight?
I've discovered something so cool that you can do with Google. Kuya Nicki, my former tutor but now a family friend, taught me this trick.
First, go to Google, everyone's savior. Next, type find Chuck Norris. Don't click that Enter button just yet! Click I'm feeling lucky instead. Have fun reading! :))
So you're probably thinking: Is this Google's idea of a practical joke? The answer is no but the real question is: Are you even in Google?
Check out the URL. It says http://www.nochucknorris.com/ Yes, that is a real website :)) Also, if you try clicking any of the links on the upper part of the window, they won't work. They won't lead you anywhere but that site so don't bother.
Who exactly is Chuck Norris? Yes, he is a real person and that is his real name. Well, "Chuck" is his nickname and "Carlos Rey Norris" is his full name but all the same, he's not using a screen name. According to Wikipedia, he's an American martial artist, action star, and television and film actor.
[Source: http://www.chuck-norris.fr/]
I've never seen any of his movies but according to Kuya Nicki, his Filipino counterpart is Lito Lapid. He's almost like a fictional character because there are online jokes about him, like this website I found that had "Chuck Norris Facts".
Here are some of my favorite:
Fact #1: If you have five dollars and Chuck Norris has five dollars, Chuck Norris has more money than you. Fact #2: There is no 'ctrl' button on Chuck Norris's computer. Chuck Norris is always in control. Fact #3: Chuck Norris is suing Myspace for taking the name of what he calls everything around you. Fact #4: Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise. Fact #5: When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris. Fact #6: There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of creatures Chuck Norris has allowed to live. Fact #6: Outer space exists because it's afraid to be on the same planet with Chuck Norris. Fact #7: Chuck Norris counted to infinity - twice. Fact #8: When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn’t lifting himself up, he’s pushing the Earth down. Fact #9: Chuck Norris is so fast, he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head. Fact #10:Chuck Norris doesn’t wear a watch, HE decides what time it is.
Claudine Barreto is an amazing actress. She's one of my favorite actually but you have to admit this is pretty hilarious.
"Magandang magandang hapon po sa inyong lahat at sa lahat ng nanonood ng ASAP Mania! Celebration ng-" *trips* "-Ay, putang ina!" *covers mouth* *looks at audience* "Sorry" *oh, oh*
This is not my first blog in Blogger. I've had other blogs in Blogger before but they always ended up in the same state: unused. It's not that I don't like it here in Blogger. It's just that Multiply has been my blogging host for more than two years already. I'm already so familiar and used to it that it's so hard to have another blog in a completely different blogging host. Plus, the fact that I already have readers there. Making one in Blogger would just take me back to where I was more than two years ago: no readers.
So why make another blog here in Blogger?
One, to expand my range. And the other two are secret missions.
I have two missions here in Blogger. One is related to my school, Philippine Science High School - Southern Mindanao Campus and the other is related to a contest.
As of now, I am keeping this blog a secret from my friends in Pisay or any of my readers in Multiply. I want to start from scratch. Although, I will eventually tell them.
Before I end this blog, just leave me a message in my tagboard if you want to exchange links. I'm a friendly person. I don't bite :D
